Why does it take a month to have at&t fix a phone line?

It’s been a month now since our phone quit working, and we put in a service request… I’ll tell you, AT&T makes getting hold of anyone for customer service almost impossible, but try being a day late to pay your bill. It’s gotta be something in their lines, since it’s busy even when the junction box is unplugged from the house. It sure seems like us folks out in the boonies get blown off by our utility companies. It’s a good bet that we’ll still end up paying full price for for the whole month of a non-working phone. Oh well…

edit:
3 days after posting this, an ATT serviceman had our phones up and running again. Thanks for getting that taken care of AT&T! It sure goes a long way to making me feel like an appreciated customer! Also, please read more about AT&T’s stellar service during our recent big storms.
